Letter from TPC’s Co-Presidents

As we look ahead to the fall, one of the most important things you can do as a member of TPC is to renew your membership investment—and to consider renewing early. Each dollar you contribute directly fuels our grant pool and helps cover TPC’s operating expenses, ensuring we can continue to connect women and support vital nonprofits.

TPC is a pioneer in offering tiered membership levels, because we believe philanthropy should be accessible to women of all ages, wealth levels, lived experiences, and job statuses. We have seen this realized in the expanding number of women joining at the Friends ($300) level. At the same time, we invite those who are able to consider increasing their level of investment. Recent analysis shows a drop in women contributing at the Catalyst ($1200) level. A higher investment means more dollars going to the nonprofits we fund, more stability for TPC, and more women having the opportunity to experience collective giving.

Early renewals allow us to plan with confidence. The sooner members renew, the more accurately we can anticipate the size of our grant pool and uphold our commitment to awarding 10 unrestricted grants. Your renewal—at any level—ensures TPC remains a place where women grow as philanthropists and drive meaningful, trust-based change in our community.

Together, our individual investments become something far greater than what we could achieve alone. Thank you for renewing, for stretching if you can, and for fueling the future of TPC and the nonprofits we support.

Warmly,

Jennifer Morrison & Valerie Godhwani
Co-Presidents

Learn More About Volunteering with Boston CASA

Boston Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) recruits, trains, and supports volunteers who advocate for children and youth in the child welfare system in Middlesex and Suffolk counties. Volunteers are matched with one child or sibling group and serve as a consistent presence, advocating for their best interests in court, collaborating with caregivers and service providers, and helping ensure their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met. The ultimate goal is permanency: a safe and stable home, or for older youth, a successful transition to independent adulthood.

Boston CASA hosts monthly virtual information sessions for those interested in volunteering. Upcoming dates and registration are available here.

Board Opportunity: Project Citizenship

Project Citizenship provides free legal services to permanent residents, helping more than 1,100 clients each year with citizenship applications, fee waivers, disability exemptions, and legal representation. With the support of 650+ volunteers and pro bono attorneys, the organization works to increase naturalization rates across New England, focusing on the most vulnerable populations.

They are seeking new board members—particularly those with expertise in communications, IT, legal, marketing, or strategy—who are passionate about social justice, democracy building, and immigrant rights.

Young Man with a Plan Celebration

November 12, 2025

Join YMWAP at The Substation in Roslindale to celebrate all that they’ve accomplished in the past ten years. Launched in 2015, YMWAP was a direct response to a 2014 meeting of cross-sector Boston school leaders who, deeply troubled by achievement gaps, academic disengagement, and increasing neighborhood violence, named their most urgent concern as “high school men of color in the middle.”
