TPC Co-Presidents’ Message
As we continue celebrating this year’s 10 grant recipients, we also want to recognize an important milestone in TPC’s history.
For the first time ever, we granted a $1,000 Finalist Award to the five additional nonprofit organizations that made it to our final ballot.
Reaching the final ballot is no small accomplishment. These nonprofits have advanced through a thoughtful, member-driven review process and represent an organization that is making a meaningful difference in our community.
This new Finalist Award is one way we’re bringing our values to life. During our last strategic planning process, TPC embraced Trust–Based Philanthropy as a guiding principle for TPC. Since then, we’ve continued to ask ourselves how we can better reflect those values. Recognizing our finalist organizations is another meaningful step on this journey.
Now it’s time to look ahead.
As we begin developing TPC’s next strategic plan, we turn to the people who make this organization what it is: our members. The priorities we set today will shape how TPC creates meaningful impact in the years ahead.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be surveying our membership asking their thoughts on shaping TPC’s future. Together, we’ll help define TPC’s next chapter and ensure it continues to reflect the values, aspirations, and generosity of this extraordinary community.

Small Organizations: The Change That Systems Change Needs, This article challenges the assumption that systems change is the domain of large, well-funded organizations, arguing that locally led groups are often driving deep, lasting change despite limited budgets. It’s a thought-provoking read for anyone questioning who has the power to influence systems—and why we may need to rethink our assumptions. 7-9 minute read
- How do you measure what matters when the biggest changes are often invisible? …This article, How Measuring Systems Change Can Open the Door to Transformative Impact, explores why traditional metrics can fall short in systems change work and how one organization rethought impact measurement to capture the long-term, transformative effects of changing policies, institutions, and power—not just counting immediate outputs. It’s a compelling read for anyone grappling with how to measure meaningful change. This article from The Center for Effective Philanthropy is a 8-10 minute read.

The Philanthropy Connection is excited to announce its newest pathway for Young Philanthropists to gain opportunities for mentorship, exclusive channels for connection with fellow YPs and seasoned members, and skill development that drives progress toward their long-term professional success.
Aptly termed the “YP Accelerator Program,” this one-year program is designed for women who appreciate structured support while developing or expanding their careers. To learn more about how this program differs from TPC’s Fellowship program, check out this page here.

The Boston CASA Annual Golf Outing serves as an opportunity to increase awareness of the organization’s essential work while raising funds so more foster children and youth of Suffolk and Middlesex Counties have the support of a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA).
Our Mission: Boston CASA promotes and protects the best interest of children and youth who have experienced abuse and neglect. We train and support community-based volunteers who provide a voice to children in the court system so they may thrive in a stable environment.

Run with Team CfJJ at the Falmouth Road Race

Join Team CfJJ for the 2026 Falmouth Road Race, one of Massachusetts’ most iconic summer running events. Participants can choose to run the scenic 7-mile course in Falmouth on Sunday, August 16, or take part virtually by completing the distance on their own schedule and course.
Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or somewhere in between, Team CfJJ welcomes participants of all experience levels. Every mile helps support CfJJ’s mission while connecting you with a community of supporters committed to making a difference.

RIA, Inc. Presents a One-Day Core Training for Professionals Supporting Adults with Lived Experience in the Sex Trade.
Thurs, September 17th | 6:00 – 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM ET
Virtual via Zoom
This all day live, interactive training provides behavioral health professionals with a comprehensive introduction to trauma-informed, survivor-centered services for adults impacted by the sex trade. The training integrates clinical frameworks with lived experience and is co-facilitated by a licensed therapist, Rachel Ewing, and a survivor mentor, Kat Sanitago.
