TPC for Women ages 21 to 35

At The Philanthropy Connection, we are deeply committed to fostering the next generation of women philanthropists. We welcome and encourage adults for whom woman is a meaningful identifier between the ages of 21 and 35 to join TPC, and have designed three distinct pathways to best correspond with varied lives and goals of prospective members!

Our Young Philanthropist Members

Our Young Philanthropists, also known as “YPs,” are an essential pillar of our membership! A “YP” is simply a general member who has joined TPC and is between the ages of 21 and 35.  These members love learning, connecting, and showing up when inspiration strikes, but without commitment. Being a general YP member allows for exploration of opportunities without taking on new responsibilities.

Our YP Accelerator Program

TPC recognizes that some women want to take a deeper dive into the world of philanthropy and professional development. Our YP Accelerator Program is perfect for women seeking new experiences that will help them grow their skillset, gain meaningful opportunities to collaborate with others, and have a role in creating impact that is felt within the Massachusetts community and beyond. This is a one-year program designed for women who appreciate structured support while developing or expanding their careers.

Our Fellowship Program

The Fellowship Program provides YPs with the highest level of engagement, and is best for women seeking structure, leadership development, and a long-term path to grow their influence. Fellows are motivated by the opportunity to lead grant teams, serve on committees or take on critical projects, and participate in shaping the organization’s future. This two-year program is the right fit for budding philanthropists seeking a more intensive, multi-year commitment that aligns with long-range professional goals.

Whether a prospective YP chooses to pursue general membership, the YP Accelerator Program, or the Fellows Program, they are in good hands at TPC!

TPC’s YP programming has been trailblazing from the start, as it was the first women’s collective giving organization in the United States to establish its Fellows program. Today, almost a third of all TPC members are YPs! Between 2020-2024, we had two YPs serve as Co-President! In addition, young women hold a sizable number of leadership positions on the Board, and as Grant Team leaders. Historically, YPs have also led the charge on strategic initiatives including our robust Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts.
